Internship Description:

BoricuActivatEd (a 501(c)(3) non-profit) interns are expected to work remotely and will report and work closely with the CEO and Founder and the Admin. The responsibilities can include the following: administrative assistance; general support for BoricuActivatEd charter school programs, including working with the graphics team to facilitate content and performing the necessary due diligence as instructed; conduct research on leading nonprofit management topics as requested by CEO and BA team; support our online communications efforts, including social media; conduct fundraising research into our current donors and potential targets and outreach to Congressional offices when needed.

Internship Description:

  • Currently in a Bachelor’s degree program or recent graduate.
  • Prior volunteering or nonprofit experience a plus
  • Solid writing and communication skills
  • Prior knowledge of PPT, Google slides and other graphic programs a plus ‘
  • Proven ability to meet multiple deadlines and work independently and in a team IS A MUST
  • Excellent work commitment.

Position is paid and if coordinated with the school can also result in credit.

Are you a former government worker or a staff member to an elected official? Put your talents to use to promote participatory democracy! BoricuActivatEd, a national 501(c)(3) organization, is actively recruiting former staffers of elected officials to use their experience to teach people best practices in civic engagement.  Positions are part-time.  We are looking for experienced former staffers who can teach individuals how to advocate for the issues important to them, how to interact with their elected representatives, how to participate in constituent meetings, and other vital skills.  Current and former teachers are also encouraged to apply. We will provide training and quarterly opportunities to participate in workshops on the East Coast. Stipend provided.
